Ok, so pardon the thread title, I wasn't sure exactly how to describe it in one or two words to fit on a title.
It has come time for me to buy new headphones as I find myself taking 10 minutes to find a position in which to hold my current headphones so that I can hear out of both ears and not just the right one.
I've noticed, with all headphones, that while listening if I push on them with my hands, squeezing my ears between the headphone and my skull that the sound obviously becomes louder but also much "fuller" and "richer" the bass is much deeper and everything just sounds much better and I even hear things that I wouldn't otherwise hear. This is not just because I hear it louder that I'm hearing everything better since if I turn up the volume it doesn't have the same effect.
Obviously being at the computer with my hands on my ears is not very practical neither would a roll of duck tape that goes around my whole head to keep the headphones "pushed" against my ears. So I'm wondering are there any headphones out there that really "push" against the ears and not just rest there? Seeing as these would probably be "quality" headphones and headphones in general tend to have a rather short lifespan I'm not sure I want to dish out a huge wad of cash for them. So, an even better alternative would be finding a way to keep cheap affordable headphones pushed against my ear without rendering me unable to do anything else or causing me to look absolutely ridiculous with duck tape going around my head (not mentioning the pain that would probably follow as I have to remove it from my hair)
Hopefully this makes some sense to someone and they know a pair of good headphones or a way to effectively make cheap headphones "push" against my ears.
