is anyone here fedup of the fact that know one knows india's great history, whenevr books or anything talks about india's history all they have to say is on the topic of british and christian as well as muslim invasions up to the poverty stricken wilderness it is today.Not a thing about its floushiring in the fields of math and science, the pythagores therom is attribted to pythagores when actually it was stolen from ancient indian texts, ' the firts university was in greece' , NO!! in HINDUSTAN!! not a wrod abotu its great texts in both spirituality and astronomy, such greatness if ever if spoken about is only praised to the ' invasion' of the Aryans. Aryans are from india, not the blone eyes big breasted german that the westeners seem to think they are. india's civilistion if much older than any other and was definitly much more advanced even when light shone on the anciet kingdoms of egypt and greece.
mathematics and science have their full roots in india.
 
Yeah I agree with you. India has contibuted massively to the fields of science, medecine, astronomy, mathemathics, physsices, chemistry, archietecture and arts.

India had the first university in Tkashilaka, India invented the concept of the 0, India is responsilbe for Algebra, India made the first theory of matter, India measured the diameter of the earth and realized that the earth revolved around the sun a 1000 years before Coprenicus did. India invented innoculations, India made a iron pillar that never rusts. India's feats have been unparalleled in history yet it is other nations mostly European one's that are creidted with India's discvoereis!!
 
oh yeh...india realised how to shower everyday thousands of years before when the christians in europe banned showering and were beseached with the plague. even now showering everyday is very unusual in britian

Algebra is thought to originate from Babylonia; some Greek scientist calculated the diameter of earth few thousand years years ago and they too realized that earth revolves around the sun. Olmecs or Mayas also invented zero on their own.

Of course India has an ancient & proud heritage, but I have to call you on a couple of points.

Mathmatics & science weren't developed in India 1st. Scientific method is relatively modern. Mathmatics were developed by many ancient cultures, usually regarding astronomy.

Showering is a relatively modern practice, too. It is true that bathing was considered unhealthy in Christian Europe for several centuries, but many cultures outside of India practiced bathing. The Romans had their famous baths. The Incas built baths on mountainsides. Jews & others have practiced ritual bathing for millenia. The health effects of bathing weren't known until relatively modern times when microorganisms were discovered.

It's great to celebrate India's proud heritage, but don't do it by insulting other cultures & fabricating facts.
 
Complain to me when you've learned the native history of Indonesia, both pre and post colonial.

Its true, they took it and claimed credit for it. Its the same with innoculations its the Turks and British that get the credit for it rather than the Indians.

I know well that concept and number zero comes from India. I've never seen turks/brits been given credit for it - arabs sometimes, but that is most likely mixup with the fact that's where Europe got it (middle east).

Various doctors had experimented with innoculations
with mixed results in many countries for centuries.

It was that French man "Louis Pasteur" who really got
it started on a scientific basis with the rabies vaccine.
 
Talking about the past achievement of India is liable to bring some kind of pride of India contribution to the world but is there anything of today that India is potentailly going to offer for the answer of the ideal of civilization that the West can take as being a useful one?

To what extent? I have a knowledge of Indonesion history I know of empires liek Majaphit, and such, as well as their later colonial history and people like Suherto, and such. Its not indepth but I do hav knowldge of them and I'm not ignroant of their achievements and such.
 
This reminds me of the "goodness gracious me" sketch, with the guy that credit's absolutely everything to India. ;)
