help again

ok i got the game up and running on my laptop but now when i start all the text appears as little white rectangles if anyone has had this problem and fixed it please let me know how. thanks in advance

Strange.
Sounds like font corruption to me or the system is trying to use a different font instead. Or the system is that bogged down with running the game it can't load them and display them correctly. My guess is the game can't find the font needed. Check the Assets folder for 'sylfaen.ttf', you can find it within the Firaxis Games folder where you installed it. It should be inside a 'Fonts' folder. If it's not there, try reinstalling the game again.

I have seen it happen but it is usually occurs when something is taken from one OS platform to another or the source cannot be read when attempting to print.
Never heard of it occuring in a game however as it usually includes fonts when installing.
