help appreciated-game screen will not load!

When I tried to install Civ4 the first screen would come up with the options to install and readme and exit. When I click install absolutley nothing would happen. I could do it over and over but all that happens is the starting screen for Civ4 dissappears so it didn't allow me to install. I finally installed it using "setup" in the civ 4 folder but now when the game loads (after installation) it gets to the end of the loading bar and plays the music (which skips) and then once again...nothing happens. The music plays but no screen comes up. What can I do to fix this?

Hmmm... thats wierd. The only thing I can think of is that there might be something wrong with your disc drive. Does it work ok with other cd's?
Or maybe you got a bad disc or something. If the disc is messed up theres probably a way you can get a replacement or something, although I don't know the procedure for that. You've probably already done this but a simple restart is usually worth a try. Sorry that I'm not more help but I'm sure a lot of the other people on this forum will have better suggestions then me, so good luck.

Nah my brother plays just fine on his computer its jut my computer its messed up on, and I can play many other games on my computer including Civ3.

hmm, patch the game, download latest graphics drivers, reinstall directx... what else. post your system specs.
