Help - City Size and info Text

I installed Civ IV. It works fine except that the graphic for the city size and info does not display on the main map. Also, the top graphic at the game menu (the one that gives you the option to save load, load, exit etc.) does the same thing. I've tried reintalling. I have the latest patch. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean. Can you provide a screenshot?

Changing the resolution might help.

I tried lowering the resolution, but it didn't help. I should also note that I meet the system requirements and installed from the disk. I also made sure my video adapter (sis 760) had fully updated drivers. Here are the screen shots. I truly appreciate any insights / advice you may have.

could you post your dxdiag results file?

SiS 760 is not DirectX9c compatible according to their product page:

Integrated Mirage™ 2 Graphic Engine
- Built-in a High Performance 256-bit 3D Engine
- DirectX 8.1 Complaint
- Supports Digital Video Interface for TV or LCD Display

so it is quite possible that it will not work - still the dxdiag file might help figuring out whether it really is the most recent driver - but I am not too hopeful
