Hi.

I started creating my own mod, following Kael's tutorial [http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=385009].

I only made some minor XML changes, like changing yields' amounts of terrains (like Jungle Food + 1 -> Food -1).
and I'm pretty sure to have done that correctly (no language errors), strictly following the tutorial.

I builded it succesfully.

I can find the mod in the mod section when I run the game.

It's loaded wthout errors.

...but simply there isn't any change at all.

I'm afraid that I missed an important step.
Unfortunately, Kael's tutorial lacks on information about the correct steps to take from when you've finished changing the XML to when you load the mod in the game.

After you've finished writing the XML elements, what you have to do?

Just hit the Build command?

First of all, this should go in the general C&C forum, not the reference section. (Although you could have put it as a reply in Kael's thread, given the content.) I'll report the post so that a moderator moves it.

you should build, go to "online services" and select the mod package you wan't to upload.

NO. There is no need to upload anything, ever.

He's talking about a mod he made himself, and which isn't working on his own computer. The basic build steps should be enough to allow that, without ever uploading anything.

Alessandro, there are two basic things that can be going wrong.

1> You made a mistake in the XML. The build action in ModBuddy doesn't actually check for XML errors in content, only errors in formatting. If there's ANY error in a file, the entire file is ignored.

2> OnModActivated/UpdateDatabase. If you don't know what this means, then it's the problem; if you did this, then never mind.

If it's not #2, then here's what you need to do. Go into the built mod's directory. This'll be in the My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS directory. (This is NOT the same as the raw directory, which'll be inside My Documents/Firaxis ModBuddy.)
Take your mod's entire directory, zip or rar it up into a single archive, and attach it to a post here. Then, we can look at your actual files and tell you what you did wrong, without guessing.
