Do you have questions about the DemoGame? Not sure what a rule means, or who is responsible for a given action, or what you should be expecting from your officials? Don't need a legal answer?

Then this is the place for you. Ask any DG-related question, and the friendly people of the Help Desk will try to answer it.

Disclaimer: Questions that require a legal answer should be asked in the current Judiciary thread.

Help Desk? God damn it... now I'm cursed to imagine you as an old women behind a big oak desk for the rest of my days.

Hey, you happen to have any of those little red and white mints? I love those things...

I am wondering if I can be of any help into the Ministry of the Help Dest :D.

id offer my help but in reality im probably going to end up using this the most out of people that have been here awhile :)

thanks Dave. yes this was it. subsequent to the Pm, I found the appropriate sticky with the maps. this is still a good idea

Good idea Mr. PResident!

Alright, here's a question... I played back in Demogame II as the Chief Justice, about three years ago, and I'm afraid I'm a bit rusty on the rules. What are some of the big changes since then? Who are some of the important politicians to watch? And what's a good way to get to know my fellow citizens? ^_^

VEERA!!!! Long time no see! Well, we have a DP pool now instead of the president playing the saves, and there's now a triumvirate government, which doesn't have deputies. (there's another part, which isn't part of the triumvirate, which are other advisors.... kind of complicated. Too complex for my tastes).

Some of your fellow citizens you might remember. :)

The biggest change has been the introduction of political parties/slate voting.

The slate voting part is untrue, but i don't want to start a new debate in this thread.

Spamming is a good way to get to know everyone ;) get involved with one of the parties groups thing, slate voting doesnt occur no matter how much some people think.

Question:
I was planning to take a look at a saved game file. I just wanted to check what I could and could not look at. Reading the forums, obviously not the World Builder. Presumably the advisors are OK? How about the Info and Victory screens?

Correct - WorldBuilder is bad.

Basically, you can always look at current information, so the advisors, info and victory screens are find. You can rearrange labor allocation within cities to see what the changes would do.

What you can't do is move units around to scout, and you certainly cannot play ahead. Unless, of course, you are the designated player.

Just read through this link. It's pretty vague right now, but the purpose was to make it fast and easy to read. If you have any other questions, than just follow the instructions at the bottom of that thread.
