Help ith expanding

Expansionist is the best trait for early expansion. Get a couple scouts and try to get all the huts (expansionist means no barbarians come out of huts). Then you could either pull a "farmer's gambit" (building only settlers and having a very small military), or you choose ideal sites for your cities and start producing military.
Scientific gives one free tech every age you advance in, so you could trade that tech around for either other techs or cash. Less expensive scienctific buildings could also help your tech advances, if built in quantity. If this all goes to plan and you have no early wars, you would most likely come out in the middle to late middle ages with the most land and the most advanced civ.
