Help make a completely new game!

Hi All,

I was wondering if there are some trustworthy modders out there who could help me make a completely new game. It will take some time. I can't actually make mods myself because I can't get the SDK to work on my laptop, but I can explain what to do... or at least what I'd like to achieve. Any takers?

The problem is that people who have modding skills usually prefer to create mods based on their own ideas, instead of helping someone else...

No, the problem is here that creating a new game requires millions of dollars! Which none of us have.

Well, I interpreted "completely new game" in the OP as "total conversion mod" If it's really a new game, then you're right, but it has nothing to do with Civ5 modding.

See I thought this thread was about a guy who couldn't figure out modding so he decided to enlist the help of modders in order to help him create a completely new game.

Hey guys, I need volunteers to work on a project! I have no useful skills to contribute but a lot of ideas that will require a massive amount of work. To convince you I have prepared a 3.5 sentence mission statement.

Now now, ONE AT A TIME PLEASE.

Seriously though - start by preparing a mission statement, and a "to-do" list. You can prepare a segmented list of objectives with headers for the task and bullets underneath of a to-do list.

Once you have done this, you will show that you have not only thought out your ideas but you have planned out a course to reach the finish line. You will be making a statement that you understand what needs to be done, and are simply asking for assistance in these tasks. This would be more effective than declaring that you have a big idea for a whole new game and asking modders to sign on and do all the work while you sit in the directors chair.
