I have a dell wich has an internal wireless networking card. It's worked fine for the last year and a half, but now seems not to work. In the apartment complex I'm in there are four or five that I'm in range of, and the ethernet port is working just fine. The stupid thing just can't find any networks, but I know they're there (my roommate is using our wireless router as I type this). It was workign fine, and quite out on me the other night. I've ran virus-scan, but I have no idea what else to do to try and fix this. Any suggestions?

Go to Start>Run and enter "devmgmt.msc"
Expand the section Network Adapters and look for the one that says something about wireless network controller. Double click on it and see what it's saying in the Status box.

If you don't see it listed there, go to ACtion> Scan for Hardware Changes and see if windows picks it up.... if you get nothing at all, then I'd say it's time to call Dell.

try uninstalling the drivers...or you just may be on a different channel or something. BTW-if you uninstall windows should pick it up when you reboot and install it with the available drivers
