Help Me Please!

Hey,

I recently bought a new Civilization game. It is Civ, Call to Power II. The thing is, I can't seem to join any of the lobbys to play it online. Is it a dead game? Do people still play online? Or is there something that I am doing wrong? I already have my internet connection on before I try to join, but it always says "Can Not Join Lobby". Then I get stuck in the lobby and have to alt ctrl del the sucker to get it off. This is a HUGE pain in the arse, and any help would be nice. I made a post about this like 2 days ago, and like 8 people looked at it, but nobody helped. If I am in the wrong forum or something, someone let me know. And by all means, please help me out.

your problem is that you are playing CTP2, which is not a very good game in the opinion of most civ gamers. me, i never even considered CTP2, i hated ctp1 so much that i never considered getting 2. oh yeah, and splitting hairs, ctp2 is not civilization, activision and firaxis sued each other over the use of the name civilization and firaxis won. And since i have absolutely no knowledge of CTP2, i can't help you out. my only question is, why didn't you get civ3 instead?

Oh man. I didn't know that. I had no idea there was a Civ3 out. I just bought CTP2 cause I was in need to play a Civilization game. I had owned CTP1, and I liked it just fine. I still have the first Civ game, the one where you can't play online...HHHMMMM..This just puts me right in the crapper. I had no idea about the whole court battle. What brought about all this anyhow?

and these other boards you speak of, could I have a link or somethin? haha. Thanks for the help again...

Yuo didn't know civ3 was out? Where do you live? in a siberian gulag or something? i find that really hard to believe. didn't you see all of the civ3 forums at the top of the forum list? www.apolyton.net

Maybe if you rarely went on the internet and don't read Games magazines...

hhhhmmmmm.......I didn't know it was out yet. I remember way back when, talking with some guys about it coming out, and I forgot all about it. I was at a Hastings Book store, and they didn't have an awesome game list. I just saw Civ, and I bought it. hehe. I live in Missouri, by the way..hehe. I looked at Wal-Mart yesterday for Civ3, but they didn't have a copy of it. I asked the sales rep and everything. I'll look around, so I can be part of all the excitement....
