help me with Realism:The Third Resurrection

this is regarding Moderator Action: Realism:The Third Resurrection, i installed it but no text comes up when i start the game. i have the new civ4 patch. please help.

This is because the mod is incompatible with v1.61

you can easily fix this by opening up the globaldefines.xml file and changing the first 3 lines to match the new one in the xml folder of the main game.

So, it other words, open both GlobalDefines files and compare the text inside them. The first one would be in the main XML folder for the game itself, and the other would be in the XML folder for the mod.

Other than those 3 lines I believe there are a other lines further down that have been added but I don't know which ones they are.

It might also be possible to just replace the entire file without editing it but since I haven't played this mod I have no idea if any of those parameters have been changed or not. But that is the file that is causing the problem.

yea the mod is incompatible with the new patch and the new version has yet to be released.. if you still want to play the mod reinstall old patch for time being until the realsim mod is compatible
