Help me with this Outlook Express thing

WHat is the name of the file that holds the messages?

I need to transfer the messages from the old Outlook into the new (after a HDD format). I guess they are all stacked up in a special file of some sort that I can't find. They don't seem to exist separately as .eml files (did a search, came up short). Does anybody know the answer to this?

Go to Tools --> Options. Click on the Maintenance tab and click the store folder button and that will tell you where your files are being kept. Most likely it'll be a hidden directory and you'll need to show hidden files in Windows Explorer. Go to that directory and copy all the files to the medium of your choice.

can't you just export them into a .pst-file and then import it again after the format?

edit: oops, sorry, was talking about outlook, not outlook express....
