I am a newbie trying to get to regent (current level warlord) and I want sombody to help correct me of any mistakes I made. I have already won and just want to get the hang of war. I now afew strategies but I can never implement them. I am just like the computer just rush em them going for resource cities first. I have had a golden age and rules are default.



Some may notice small 1pop towns near the area of heliopolis that are specialists. these are to plug up my boundary so the byzantines cant use the railroades I built. I am a commie and am already at war . have briken many treaties so expect no RoP without huge cost. No navy small bomber force

What version is it? It doesn't work in C3C 1.22.

Anyway, some tips -

1 - Don't attack an AI when you're in their territory. You'll get a rep hit.
2 - Use artillery to soften the AI before attacking.
3 - Rails are the doom of the AI in the industrial era. Reason? They smash all of their troops into 1 spot at once. This is where you can create a gauntlet (instead of blocking with cities). Use units with a Zone of Control, but a passageway for the AI to go through. It's like free bombardment.

sorry. No patch I tried to get it from Firaxis.com. Didn't work. I needed to fill up space because the byzantines used those railrosdes to atack me faster. Now it is far easier. they used the rails I built to attack my cities in an old war. They do not have rubber so for now they are screwed defenively in the industrial ages. The artillery is a good sggestion. I intended to use more artilery, attackers, defenders and cavalry together an slowly take their cities. In other words combined arms. When I was trying to go commie they rushed me in anarchy.

i new about the rep hits, but it was actually in my previous war with Egypt. They rushed me with cavalry. I needed to sue for peace but I had an alliance with the Byzantines. Then again they always hated me because of what I did to the Egyptians. I razed all but 3 cities
