Whats the point? Most people wouldn't notice, because they wont know those languages, they'll just see the funny words.

Unless you use the Romanization of the targeted writing system of the language in question.

I need native speakers
I guess that counts out multilinguals and non-native speakers since I am learning Japanese as a second language (Though still a beginner). :p

Let say I'd prefer native speaker. The important point is more about knowledge of the culture, and not simply use direct translation.

For instance, with Sweden
Musketeer = Musketerare
Fusilier = Fysiljär
But the correct name for the 18th century soldier would be Karolin

A Swede may no it, but perhaps not a non-Swede who learn Swedish.

So I guess if you learn Japanese, and are interested in Japanese military history, you could know the proper name for all the units

Oh my gosh! You're rigth!:eek:

Steph should simply hammer it out in French, the language of all civilised people!:lol:;)

There are nice precedents for doing this with the historical simulation strategy games of Paradox Interactive. Play around with one of their WWII games, and your Polish infantry divisions will say things like "18. Dywizja Piechoty" and your Japanese fighter squadron will have designations as "Hikodan". It really does add flavour and distinctiveness to the different factions, and provides a bit of a sense of depth, for those who like that sort of thing.:)

But of course I was joking, more people on the task can only mean better results. Italian Celtic, check your PM's. :)
