Help or question about getting Exp MOD to work with CBP

Quick note - I tried searching in the forums and the sticky post about mod compatibility and couldn't find anything. So I'm trying to get this mod to work: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=82186217 It is "Barbarians - Unlimited Exp" on steam workshop. At cursory usage, it doesn't seem to work. There was some extra info posted in the comments though that have me even more confused.

If it helps, it is the balance patch that is stopping the xp at lvl 3 and 45 points. Just the community patch and this works fine.
After more research the Community Balance Patch file CoreDefines.sql does indeed alter BARBARIAN_MAX_XP_VALUE to 45. Not sure why it is stopping your mod from being applied. Meh, it's not pretty, but I'll just alter it directly. Hope this helps anyone else. This mod sets it to "-1" to achieve the unlimited effect. For reference; setting it to "100" limits the xp to lvl4 if you want more but unlimited is too cheaty.
The MOD creator replied:
Instead, you could fix this by changing the load order of the mods and make this one load after the balance patch.

To do this:

- Unsubscribe both mods
- Restart your game and subscribe/download/enable the balance patch from the mod menu in game
- After enabling, subscribe/download/enable this mod

The value will b e be altered one time at 45 and after that will be set to -1 for its final value.

No need to alter the mods :)

I've tried this but it didn't work. And honestly there doesn't seem to be much truth to "mod load order". I'm not even sure you can do that with this game. And maybe I don't even need the mod? It sounds like there's something I can just edit to get the same effect. If anyone can help I appreciate it!

When the Unlimited xp mod stopped working for me, I just resorted to editing the file on my own. If you need more help, let us know.

It's no problem. You can also create a mod depending on CBP and modify the value because it will be launched after CBP. In my modmod I did modify this to 100 (lvl 4).

In the same idea you can modify the max value gained for exploration by scouts. Don't remember the file but the keyword is BALANCE_SCOUT_XP_MAXIMUM

For real? I thought it was unlimited. Knowing it isn't feels really sucky. I thought it was such a cool feature, especially that you get it on one of those boat units later (or some UU does I think). Think I'll modify this too, thanks!
 
Well, you can set entry to have ridiculously large value, which can never be reached and there you have it, "unlimited experience".
 
Bah, the goal is to set coherent values, 100 for level 4 for example is a realistic one.
 
I don't mind unlimited really, because I don't farm barbs or CS or whatever. But yeah level 4 seems not too bad.
