Help? Um.... Tips and Stuff?

It should be: "C:\Users\youraccountname\documents\my games\beyond the sword\saves"

You right-click it and select "delete", after that you empty your Recycle Bin.

Also, RiFE is cool but i'd suggest vanilla FFH2 first. RiFE adds A LOT, and it's really a lot, so it's easy to get lost (climate feature, new civs, new religion, new animals and such, also lots of improvement over the way the equipment and promotions work, mostly from FallFurther).

Also I suggest you to play FFH2 with a previous patch unless you're going to install RiFE: the latest patch has a lot of broken AI.

but, if i start straight at RiFE i won't need to get adjusted; i won't have anything to compare it to, and as such i will be able to play easier with it more quickly, no?

:rolleyes: There is no broken AI. I suggest you back up your ridiculous claims next time. :p
@Kirkpatrick1

yeah, but you will miss a lot from FFH like the scenarios, faster turns, AI that uses magic, more help documentation, etc. Also if you want to play multiplayer, much easier to find people. It's some stupid forum tradition that people will tell you that this or that modmod is better. In fact all these modmods are just different and you should try them all some day :D

If FF doesn't interest you but RiFE does, then you might as well start with RiFE. If they are both interesting, but RiFE looks better because it has more neat things, then you should start with FF because you will learn the basics faster when there are fewer total things to learn. Once you have a handle on FF you can give RiFE a try and you'll only have to learn the additional things.

Statements like this make me sad. I was under the impression that this claim was well supported. Maybe the word "broken" is the problem. We need to find a word that means "great improvements horribily soured by catastrophic flaws".

Mmk :D off to go find a good long thing to read to occupy my time.............

Edit: Can you get liches in FfH w/o BtS installed? ( Only vanilla version of Civ IV )

I think the result of this poll doesn't support this claim at all

I would hardly call that a plural scientific poll :p with only 60 somethin votes. When I voted in that poll I voted "a little better", but I would hardly say that it is without its own massive flaws. Your current version of Wild Mana has fixed most of these issues (or were never in in the first place and were added in the transition, in fact I only play Wild Mana now because of the AI flaws in base FFH). Now if the poll had a selection of "a little better, but needs some bug work" then that would have been my vote. :D

I have never tried RifE Multiplayer. Has it as many OOS as Orbis or is it better? I am a very big fan of Orbis, but for multiplayer games it is quite unplayable. (Unless you manage to have won before about turn 150 when OOS usually start.)

@Kirkpatrick1 I think only very few here still play the FFH version for vanilla civ. You could try to look in the civilopedia for a lich.

60 is plenty. For national elections with millions of voters you also only ask a lot less than 1% of the voters.

Also there is a difference if something is bugged and broken or if you just happen to dislike a change (like AI building more units, only starting a war if they have atleast a chance to win it)

Maybe it's not bugged or broken, but it can be very easily abused, like declaring war to stifle expansion and ignoring the SODs and going straight for the lightly defended cities. This is not a problem in wildmana though, just in the recent versions of base ffh.
