Hi, i'm new here and was wondering if anyone could help me with some tips or something. I currently run FfH on vanilla, but i'll be getting BtS christmas, so i'll get the BtS version then.

I for one don't think that Empyrean units ought to be able to become Vampires. There is a strong mutual hatred between Lugus and the progeny of Alexis. (Well, I tend to think it is not actually hatred on Lugus's part, rather a desire to see them recognize their sins and repent, but the vampires see it as his personal vendetta.)

Probably too much to point out....don't even know where to start.

Play a few games, get a feel for things, and then come back and ask specific questions....the game has far too many strategies and nuances to know where to begin.

Also, the vanilla version and the bts version are like night and day....you'll be glad you invested in (or asked for) bts for christmas....it's well worth it.

Oh, try playing the hippus, and focus on only a swift mounted military.

Either Tasunke with HorseArchers, or Rhoanna with MountedMercenaries

world spells got implemented after BTS and some civs cant do theirs till they get a certain tech like the Khazad after mining and the Amurites after Knowledge of the Ether.

WoC = fatal error at end turn " Waiting on Civilizations(?)"

OOS = "Out of Sync" error during multiplayer

Oh and be sure to patch to 3.19 or else you will find frostlings in your stockings.

k, should i worry about CTD's if i download RiFE?

Um.... just in case this has any effect, i run on vista and have civ gold right now, which i'll upgrade to BtS this christmas

Dont know much about RiFE(from what I hear it is a stable platform). If you are new to FFH I would start out with the base mod and get a feel for it first.

Alright. I've played one or two games on vanilla already... and mostly I'd just go up to Hyporborean Summon and take out everyone by turn 450 - 550 XD it's fun

It does not, but it's still worth downloading to try out the different tech trees, civics, and other changes.

The two share many features, and are often taking things from one another with minor tweaks.

You need to build Mercurian Gate. It's a wonder that is available at Fanaticism. Once you have built it Basium is summoned to the city with the wonder and can gain control over it.
