Proper prior planning provides plenty.... but instant gratification, no.
The city will eventually have new commodities avaliable. Build a new city, and RB/PRB caravans with comodoties. If you have 100 cities, you will always be able to generate the 8 to 15 caravans per turn, which can get you up to 60,000 gold and science per turn on a late game democratic large map.
But you cannot just "order" a city to produce infinite amounts.... even special hides cities will eventually "run dry" for a while (or for good). But after some time, at least one or two will come available. Take them asap, the return to other production or capitalization.
