i downloaded it,i installed it,i put it into my civ3 folder, and as i run it works just fine, only it appears to be a bit...no a lot screwed up...any button i click,be it terrain, resourses,or "scenario props" it gives me this:''Assertion failed,file:Civ3EditView.cpp,line 2643"
then it gives me this:''Assertion failed,file:Civ3EditView.cpp,line 283",and then this:''Assertion failed,file:Civ3EditView.cpp,line 982",again this:''Assertion failed,file:Civ3EditView.cpp,line1283",and so on about 15-20 times,the same massage,only with diffrent numbers at the end,until it finally gives me the"unexpectedly quit"thingy
ill appreshiate(how do i spell this word??) any help, thank you, sorry for using the word <expletive deleted>"

:wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: ...........................:vomit: .....

Moderator Action: Apologizing for using the word doesn't excuse you from using it. If, as you say, you've been here before, you should know the rules. Try being a litle less antagonistic toward the folks who are trying their best to bring the full Civ3 experience to the Mac. --Padma

LOL! Yeah, I had some similar problems with the editor too. So dont worry, your not alone

I got all those error messages - until i put it in the same folder AND upgraded the game to 1.21 . You can't use the 'multi save' cheat anymore but you can edit the maps and cheat that way!

Bingo. It only works with 1.21g. If you've updated to 1.29 or something less than 1.21, or have installed GOTM files, then the editor is going to tank.

Basically, if you get a series of assertions in the editor like that, either your Civ3 install is screwed up, the editor isn't in your Civ3 folder or you're using the wrong version of Civ3 with the editor.

I have my Editor in a separate folder with a Civ3 install, patched to 1.21g. Have tried to add a Canoe unit (thanks DnG for those Add/Delete buttons, that are now working). Now, every time I try to launch the 1.21g civ3, it just 'unexpectedly quits' on me.

Everything in my other -- 1.29 -- folder + GOTM files works fine. Sheesh ... I must have done something wrong, but can't work out what it is? I did load the Zulu Units_32.pcx file to get more icons; the files inside the Canoe folder all match and there is an '.ini' file there as well.

I have Civ3 and the 1.21g patch and the 1.32.1 Edit all in the same folder and have restarted my computer and I still get the Assertion failed error no matter what action I take. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thank you,
Broinninn
