Hi guys, a little help here would be thnakfull.

I'm Playing with the Mayan in a C3C game, i had an temple and an library at minimum in every city i had, but the summerians, ottomans and iroquois are superior to me in culture, my science slider is at maxium, but the germans, ottomans and iroquois are more advanced. The world entered in an endless WW, i'm in war with the Russians, Koreans, Americans, Hitites, Babylon and Cathage, i intend to destroy the babylons but i'm not interested in the others wars (whant to make peace with americans, hitites and carthage, maintain war with russians and koreans to sell military alliances only). I'm playing in Warlord, and i don't know how to surpass these guys.
I'm trying to pit the other civs against the ottomans, but when i do this the ottomans overun the poor wretch.

If you are interested in check my game, i attached it here.

I did a quick view. You need a lot more micromanaging of your cities. I speed up the production of some of your cities by simply clicking on the city center tile in the city menu. Then some of your not-so-corrupt cities are producing Wealth. Build Workers!!! You need a lot more to clean up the jungle tiles and never let one worker clear up the jungle alone. Build Worker Stacks who can do that in a single turn. Build a hospital in your capital, irrigate the grasslands an rail all tiles. Your capital will become more productive. You have coastal cities without harbors! You don´t have marketplaces in all of the 6+ cities but you need them to keep the people happy! Do you have unis?

WW is becoming a problem, maybe you end the war at this time and use the time for some rebuilding and don´t build Manhatten! Are you building the palace in one of your core towns for pre-building a wonder or do you want to make a palace jump?

As always, I suggest players stay off of huge maps, until they are whipping at least Monarch level. The size distorts the game in the humans favor and it is a bugger for people to load and critic.

As was mentioned, you have a ton of jungle and it is 1740AD, so some systematic approach would have been good. This usually involves a gang or many gangs that can clear and road a tile in 1 turn or two turns.

You have massive amounts of land with no towns at all, you need to fill them in, if for no other reason that to discourage the AI from trying to fill them.

I did not go through the towns, but the first one I look at, is about what I expected. Akkad is building a lib and it has 1 beaker? It has a barracks and a temple already and is size 3. So I am guessing you rushed them.

You are at war, so I am not going to object to that, just be careful not to build that stuff all over the place and to sell the temples after border pops.

I do not know what has transpired, but in the main, I would NEVER trade rubber. I would NEVER trade oil and probably not Salt. I may do it with a civ that is down to the cloth and will not be able to use those resource to hurt me.

I would prefer to not trade lux to anyone, again, unless they are much smaller than I am. Yes, I know you want your lux, but tough it out.

You have only 20 real offensive units, plus 2 armies. You are allowed another 50 units at no support cost, make as many as you can support.

You are at war. If not at war, get more workers as long as you are below the support.

I say again, huge map with 24 civs, is best left to the time when you already know all of these things.

"You are at war, so I am not going to object to that, just be careful not to build that stuff all over the place and to sell the temples after border pops."

Mass culture can help prevent flips. O.K... he plays Warlord, so not relevant here I guess. However, I wouldn't dream of playing this way *peacefully* on Deity. I know... upper-level builder style... anathema. Still, if you do that, mass culture helps prevents flips. So, you certainly don't want to sell temples in such a situation... not that I would believe you'll ever play this way VMXA, but I thought I'd point it out that there DO exist situations where you don't want to sell temples beside the 20k or 100k game.

"I do not know what has transpired, but in the main, I would NEVER trade rubber."

You probably would also never play an upper-level game where you ONLY tried to have a war for your golden age or tried for *no wars at all*. So, you wouldn't understand that trading rubber away can get you more cash/luxuries/tech/aluminum/uranium/etc. and it doesn't matter if the AI has infantry instead of rifleman, since you don't plan on attacking them. Same for oil and saltpeter.

[I would prefer to not trade lux to anyone, again, unless they are much smaller than I am.]

Not even if you could make 50 gpt off such a deal and you played as a builder who wanted to get his techs and improvements up ASAP?

[You have massive amounts of land with no towns at all, you need to fill them in, if for no other reason that to discourage the AI from trying to fill them.]

On Warlord???

I've had problems loading the save.

Thanks for the answers.

I'm building an temple and an library in every city in hopes to reach the culture cap of the summerians and ottomans, yes, i know that i need an hospital in my capital, if i remember weel i alredy did, i destroyed all babylon, so my people are happy again, i finally realized the usefullness of marketplaces ! yes, i have a worker problem but i'm not trying to clear jungle of the far-jungle cities they are to corrupt and would have no true advantage to try to make wealth on them (except for wealth production). I'll create an worker stack. I declared war on the ottomans and made all the world to declare war on them, in hope to make them lag or even be destroyed. The palace is for pre-wonder, i don't intend to change capital.
