Help with installing Civilization III Complete

Hello. I have recently bought Civilization III used off of the internet. I have tried to install it on my Dell 4500S Running XP w/ SP3. When i try to install the game, the installation gets about 85% done, with disc 3 in the drive, and then give me this error:
Error 1305: Error Reading From file C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III\complete\sounds\ancient\AncNAfull.mp3
any help? i REALLY want to get this game to run

It it a digital download or a CD? If CD I would try to do a full copy to my HD to see if was just a bad disk. Then, if it was copied, install from the HD.

It must be a CD because he said he bought it used.

Chances are it’s a bad CD, shame you bought it 2nd hand, I picked up a new CD version for £5 six months ago.

ok so i had the disc cleaned and repaired, and it still got caught up at the same place. I then tried to do an ISO grab, and it got about the same percentage done, then said it could not be read. I checked the details and it said
"Internal SDK Error"
im startng to think its my PC. any help?

It sounds like a bad CD. If you do a Google search you will find a number of these, some with media and some with software issues. You can try something like Nero or Alcohol120 to see, if they can read the CD.

i tried to do an iso grab with CDBurnerXP and it got caught up at the same spot, asstated in my last post. will trying this with nero or alchohol change any of my troubles?
