Help with save file

I've decided to try a GOTM to learn about BtS since I just got back into Civilization. I picked up BOTM6 and started playing it, but like a moron, didn't save the file along the way and exited out of the game after playing 40 or so turns. I have an autosave file from the turn before I exited, but I read under the GOTM rules that loading from an autosave file was prohibited. I would like to be able to submit the game, but I don't want to break the rules either. Can I load from that autosave file? Thanks!

I would recommend sending a PM to the game starter detailing the situation, and asking for your options!
