Help!!!

This is a newish computer, and I know everything is up to date. For some reason this happens when I try to install BtS. I installed Civ4 perfectly! HELP!!!

The error means that some data on the disc is damaged.
Not much you can do about that.. It could be that the error is caused by some fault in your dvd-drive, so if you have a second system try it there.

Yes, that error is usually a damaged or dirty disc. Things to try:

Cleaning the disc
Copy the contents of the disc onto your hard drive and install from there
if you have more than one optical drive, try copying from the other or copy the contents of the disc on another computer, transfer across to your hard drive and install from there.

Unfortunately it often means replacing the disc. If it's a new disc you can return it for a replacement. Take2 have been know to replace discs (for a charge if they are older) but the charge is now often greater than you can re-buy the game for. If you re-buy the game, note that digital download versions of BTS are unlikely to be compatible with a disc based vanilla Civ 4.
