im trying to get the regualr world ( planet) and put different leaders .. i like the 18 civ scenerio .. in civilization IV beyond the sword can some one help me

7 civ + barbarian maximum is hard coded into the game. You cannot have more.

it is hard coded into the game. but i once played a game with 24 civilizations plus barbarians it was the call to power 1 game at apolyton. they have a scenario for the year 2100 and each of these 24 players gets one city for each space, land and water. it was fun playing it i was the swedish and i then bull dozed and city that was not supposed to be where it wasnt so i made war with the canadiens casue they had a ocean city called Vancouver off the coast of greenland so i got rid of it then i built vancouver were it went. but i had no problem with the australien ocean city of Botony bay as a sea city becasue the real botony bay is part of sydney but after my number of cites was like 50 or whatever everyone revolted it got that high casue i was editing with the cheat mode. but i did not even colonize any land or ocean or space that was not in scandinavian realm. so i bordered russia ,Germany , UK ,canada. but playing with over 20 something neighbors os alot of fun. my only problem with it was that that map was no where near as large as The Giga map thats 254x230 tiles found here instead they had the civ2 earth map which was much smaller but i did move entire coast of Eurasia up one tile to make land area bigger. but i got upset when alot further into future the earth gets destroyed by pollution and then sea levels rise killing many cities but the game is playable online . but my computer no longer can play CTP casue its been modifeid so i can play Simcity 4. and old verisons of things need to be on to get them to work.

but i do not like simcity 4 as much as simcity 3000 because in simcity 3000 you can edit the land better and plus its alot cheaper even with the money code off. where as in Simcity 4 i tried very long and hard to raise the land to get the diagonal freeway bridge that is to be built from down town sanfrancisco to the island. its freeway route I-80. yeah i was please with the fact that they had a map of sanfrancisco region that ships on the game but in all honestey its a trade off do you want one really large map on Simcity 3000 that coveres 100 mile area or do you want a buck of small maps covering only 3 by 3 miles and not being able to edit the land as well?
big maps are nessisary for both civilization or simcity.
