hey guys, im totally new to this website, but ive been playing civ since civ 1 was fresh. i bought civII when it first came out for $50 and ive been playing it ever since. thats right, since the mid 90's ive had a game going somewhere in civ2. its great to see theres still people that play this game just like me still.
ive actually bought civ3 but it was such a change up from civ2 that i seldom followed through with a game and it made me want to pop back in civ2. recently i lost my civ3 CD
but thats okay i suppose becuase i think at the core my heart still lays in civ2.
the game really just adhears to my playing style better. i usually almost always play on the large world map and im always the russians. im an expansionist early on and the game really allows you to play around with so many playing style its great to play it over and over because no 2 games are exactly alike. civ3 has left me scratching my head sometimes because there seems to be so many micromanaging and unique changes that im just not used to.
i can promise you this, i will eventually get back to it, but i need to rebuy it. its just that i still find myself playing civ2 and calling up my brother whose also a fan and talking for a good hour on how i just pumbled whoever in a battle etc etc... lol
im looking forward to venting some of my stories and advice here. maybe even learn something new.
while im here let me make this post worth while. is anyone here partial to playing as a certain civ? post your civ prefrence and a little bit about yourself for everyone. hope to talk to you guys soon.
