hi i have a few questions

Hi evryone, i have a few Q?s on and .
1. On my regular civ3, evry time i build a city the game closes. how cuold i fix this?

2. I have downloaded a few units lately and put all of the components in the r?ght places, but it doesn?t work.

3. what is the correct animation program to use when creating a new unit or editing one?

1. Try updating to the latest patch (1.29f and 1.27f, respectively)

2. Have you editted the correct files? (Pedia Icons.txt, etc) Check the Tutorials forum in C&C to for a tutorial.

3. Ask in Creation and Customization.

people generally use 3dsmax and CivFLC in unison.

1) Update to the latest patch.

2)Did you put the unit_32.pcx in the CivPTW/Art folder? Did you create a folder and put the folder in the Art/Units? Also is the ini file have the same name as the folder? Did the unit in the editor have the same name as the unit folder? Did you put PRTO_UnitName? Then did you go to the Pediaicons.txt and add PRTO_Unitname and then underneath that specify where the civilopedia images are? If you did all these then you have installed the unit correctly.

3) If you have a lot of money go buy 3DMAX, Poser, LightWave, Bryce 5, Cinema3D, or someother program. If you need one thats free try Blender, OpenFX, Anim8or, POV-Ray, or someother program. The free ones can do the same thing the commerical ones can do like Blender.
