Hi everyone!

The first i want to say is that i don't speak english. That's because i'm Chilean. My english is pathetic, i know!!.
Anyway, here i am. I bought the Civ II game about a week ago and, since i opened the box, i can't stop to play it!. The game is really great and some complicated. Obviously, i can't finish a game yet but i don't care about it, i'm on a "training sesaon", understanding the concepts, advances, forces, etc.

I have a LOT of questions, but now i ask for some advice.

This is what i do. First (obviusly) i build a city, then build a phalanx, then a settler to found a new city, then a phalanx. I repeat this procces until i have 5 cities, but at this point or later i look at the top 5 cities and i'm always 5° and the barbarians conquer 1 or 2 of my cities and then the other civs attack me and it's the end.

If someone can give me some advice i will thanks.

I insist, the game is GREAT and someday y will be a expert!

Thanks, bye.

Si hay alguien que hable español, de donde sea, que quiera intercambiar ideas, juegos grabados, o lo que sea sobre este gran juego, no dude en escribirme a mi correo: hacker@bacan.cl

Nos vemos, Chao

You say that you are building phalanx's, but what exactly are you doing with them? You should be fortifing at least one of them in each city if you are playing on the lower levels and at least two for the higher levels. as you are new I would suggest the lower levels, and as a precaution fortify two units anyway. :goodjob:
