Hidden Units?????????????

Hey Everyone,

I've heard from several people now of hidden units that turn up in the game at random points which dont belong to any civ....and apparently some can be controlled and others not.

Has anyone seen or heard of this? or if there is anything else thats hidden in the game?

Im new at this discussion and Civ gaming...sooooo if this has already been posted before sorry.

Anyway any info you can give me would be cool bannanas

could it be that you are talking about barbarians? They are white and only have 2 HP.

Really don't know what your talking about and I played over 5 games up to now...

maybe you took to much drugs?

I personally didnt see them, one of the guys who told me about them reckons they were a "blood red" colour and were infantry (around 1900ad) so he says. Apparently he had a couple of loan horsmen just scouting around for barbarians and he came across them, whenever he approached them they attacked him. He said he didn't want to kill them because he'd never seen them before (at that time there was only 1 other civ left).

I dont know if this is crap or not. But aparently there were hidden units in Civ 2 but it took a while to find. This is the first time ive ever played any of the Civ (1, 2 and 3) games and im on my third game and have found nothing to back this up.

Buuuuuuuuuut if anyone does find any let me know...either way it would be interesting to find out.

well, the next one who encounters those guys should rght click on them and look at their tribe!

Hey question though....im playing cheftien at the moment, does the game vary in how quick you get science technology etc when you play on harder levels???
