Mmm, I don't really see how social democracy can be considered extreme, considering the fact that the absolute leftist part of the spectrum would be a command economy and absolute libertarianism would be anarchism - common types of definitions in political science, and that's not a matter of being European or not, but a matter of academia.

Actually, welfare reform and NAFTA happened under her husband's administration with the support of more Republicans than Democrats. She is too pro-war and is also pro-over regulation of video games. She has also folded on several other measures supported by Republicans and opposed by progressives. Like Giuliani, McCain, and Romney, she is a centrist by American standards, a fire breathing liberal by Fox News standards.
