Well I can't be bothered because I'm a lazy SOB but what you need to do is download the video then import it into windows movie maker and then just cut the sound and paste it onto another windows movie maker project and then save it as an MP3 file. Well thats one way of doing it they're might be a quicker way and tell me if you have any problems.

ah- stuck at the first hirdle!

i cannot "right click" and tell it to download as you would normally- so i dont know how to get this video...

Plug your earphones into the microphone jack (should be right next to it). Place your earphones over your computer speakers, turn the volume to max. Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder. Record.

Sound quality will be diminished tho.

ear phones will work as a microphone?

cool! - sadly mine are better used as ear muffs- and my damn PC has 3 speakers- but i will see what i can do!

wait a sec- what if i just use an headphones extention cable to go:

speaker out--> mike in?

will that reduce qualty loss etc?

You should be able to play the video and record it directly without having to take it out via the speaker output and back in again. It's just a question of finding out what input you need to record.

I have already recorded it though, so if you let me have your e-mail address I'll send it to you. It's currently almost 5MB. If you want me to do it as a lower quality mp3 let me know.

and hoe, hoe, hoe, :xmassign:

yea, surprisingly its slozenger@aol.com

5mb is fine- its quite a long song after all!

BUMP... wanting to do more ripping.. noone ever told me how... and i have since lost the file you sent me Furiey...

You can download Google videos using sites such as videodl.org, or the Video Downloader Firefox extension. Once you have the video file, you can use a video player such as mplayer or vlc to record the sound from the file (Windows Media player won't work for files you get from Google video, as they're in Flash video format, which WMP can't read).

And say from myspace... with embedded music?
