It looks like my last few games didn't make it for this update. My goal was to finish all the QM tasks before the update (I just joined HOF on the 17th of May). In one week I completed all 34 civs, every map type, every difficulty, every victory condition (yes even the Vanila space race), and every game speed. I also completed the Minor Gauntlet, but I didn't get a chance to refine my Vanila game skills enough to take on the Major Gauntlet...although I did try and fail a few times. Since my last thee games didn't get in before the update, I am missing one victory condition, two civs, and three map types.

The most frustrating games for me were the time victory and the Vanila space race. There were two games that I played where I achieved a different victory while going for the elusive time victory...one was a cultural victory with only 9 turns to go!!! This was very frustrating and slowed me down in my quest to achieve QM status in a week.

Oh well, now it's time for me to refine my games to improve my scores. I also have to take on one of the Major Gauntlets to finish the taks.

I submitted 39 games in eight days. One was turned down due to a crash/reload before I understood the rules. As I stated above, three did not make the cut-off.

BTW...the family was on vacation this week leaving me with an empty house and a lot of time to kill, and yes, several of the games were very short/cheasy wins just to check the box.

I think it was because the last game I needed for QM was the G-Major which I submitted and was accepted in the the last update but it was obviously only confirmed in this update.

Thanks Ozbenno for the aknowledgement, and congrats for your EQM.
I'm competing for Noble EQM, and in this update i submitted a very interesting time/noble/standard.
I'll report my strategies in my thread, along with other games in next few days.
BTW it's nice to see i'm filling the HoF table for Noble with my preferred VCs.

I'm going for monarch, which is my "comfort" level.
IMHO, the real test is the time victory, which is rather strange, this being the lowliest VC.

IMHO, the real test is the time victory, which is rather strange, this being the lowliest VC.

I agree. Especially at the higher levels, from an ancient start, time victory can be difficult. You need to find a way to really cull back the AI's or they will launch. But if you are not careful, you can easily pop the dom limit through culture expansions. My last time win (immortal), I needed to gift something like 6 cities to keep under the dom limit. I think there is real challenge in maximizing time scores, requires warmongering skills, builder skills, and finesse in managing your space right up to the limits.

I'm actually shooting for Immortal, only playing Immortal or Deity games these days. But I had a bunch of Emperor games from before, so first I am filling in those gaps that were also missing at Emperor. This meant I picked up Vanilla-Emperor first, next will be All Expansions-Emperor. Then I should be close to hopping up to Immortal by replaying those early Emperor games. I think maybe 1-2 months before I finish All Expansion-Emperor, especially if I stick some larger maps in there. So, you still can make a rush for it.
