As a Christmas present, Firaxis should announce an option to present the in game date using the Anno Domini dating system. After all, the first Christmas marked the turnover from B.C. to A.D. (in its original conception, at least; we don’t know the exact year of the birth of our Lord)

In the Civ 7 streams we can see them using "CE", while in the other games they use "AD". It's not that big a difference but it would be nice to have a setting to switch the date system around.

Exactly…used to live in Southern California, ash falling seems like snow in the right light.

You two better not be gaslighting me about Australian bushfire ash. I know what it looks like, very intimately, having lived through many bushfires, and watched it come down. Maybe something unique about Australian eucalypts, but falling ash here is black. Yes, there's grey and almost white as well, but majority is black.

“Ash gray” — the ubiquitous lightish gray paint that coats the walls of every quick house flip…one day the gray color theme will go the way of the dinosaurs.

Soot (stain from smoke) and other similar black residues are usually chiefly carbon compounds, whereas normal wood ash is mostly calcium compounds, hence the lighter color. I think that eucalyptus is very oily, so it's not surprising that it leaves a black residue. We had a lot of (artificially-planted) eucalyptus here in Oakland that burned during the firestorm in 1991, and the firefighters told stories of how they burned as if they were doused in gasoline and occasionally exploded.

The Earth is a sphere. Very different to round.
