Hey all,
My wife and I finally started trying out multiplayer. We're doing hot seat, since we really only have one decent computer in the house. We've run into some problems, and I thought maybe you guys would know how to fix them.
First. Player one can "give" technology, resources, etc. to player two, but player two cannot return the favor. Likewise, players one and two cannot trade with each other. Any time player two clicks on a resource or technology, it automatically clears itself from the table. So like I said, player one can give away tech and resources, but no trading and no offers from player two.
Second. Player two can't trade AI for currency. Whenever player two tries to offer resources for gold or gold per turn, it doesn't even show up in the AI's offer table. (Yes, player two has currency technology.)
Third. Player one researched communism and gave it to player two. Player one and player two cannot form a permanent alliance. We were going to try to do this to solve the first issue above, but that's not even working.
Note: Player two is playing a higher difficulty level than player one. Could this be causing the issue?
Is this by design? Is this a bug that needs to be fixed? Do we need to change our settings somehow?
We did this for two games now. First game we had the first issue described here. So we started a second game and got further along to see if the problems would be miraculously fixed, and that's when we ran into the next issues.
Thanks all for your help. We appreciate it!
