How Can I get two techs by trade?

currency to byzantines straight up
sci to 0% and move around some citizens (including making some taxmen) made me reach 56gpt
44gpt and 234gold to byzantines for their free tech (engineering)
currency to hittites for 13gold
engineering, 2gpt and 17gold to hittites for republic.. and you get 3 techs this way..

if you just want republic and construction, then just give byzantines currency and 191gold for them

Do you think which way is better or more valuable? In my case, I like 2nd way. The 1st is too expensive.

Well, it depends.. there are some other options too..

If you just want to finish the game asap, and dont care about reputation, then you could pull off the first deal. Then give all your remaining gpt to byzantines for as much gold back as possible, followed by declaring war on byzantines... Then renegotiate peace with hittites, and as part of peace deal give them as much gpt as needed for their 17gold and an alliance vs byzantines, and then declare war on hittites afterwards..
This way the 2 AIs will be at war with each other and you get almost all your gold back aswell as 3 techs.

Or if you plan to stay in monarchy, you dont need republic...

Which method I would use depends on how I would want to win :)

You let me know a lot of what I didn't know! Thanks a lot.
By the way, Can I win in Conquest? I mean the Domination will be reached first.
Which timing is better to declare war in this game? at the moment or after get UU?

what are we takling about

They are not recorded if there are any modifications made to the game.

You can edit the HOF file manually if you want to, though.

The hall of fame is simply a text file on you civilization directory. You can edit it with notepad and manually. There's a bit more info in this thread.

And if you mod the game in any way, then the score is not recorded in the Hall of Fame. There used to be a way around it, but C3C introduced a checksum for the civ3.biq file, an if you change anything it will know, even if you copy it over the default rules.

And that's enough to keep the score out of the Hall of Fame. :(

But check the links in the thread I linked to. They should show you how to edit the HoF file.
