how do I actually play a Mod? (Civ 5 question)

I did download a bunch of Mod's and enabled them, but there is no play button. did I do something wrong? I can only play the Mod's that came with the game

So after you've gone through this process, you have to choose 'single player' in the 'mods' menu, not from the main menu. So don't set up a game as you normally would, but do it from the mod section.

You forgot to enable the mod?

nope I didn't forget that hehe. I actually did it right. I downloaded, installed and enabled the Thal Mod. I then started the game over again. choose Mods, then Single Player and Set Up Game. but there is no Mods to choose from. I can only customize a new game. I checked and did everything correct, at least I am pretty sure. I followed that Mod install guide somebody posted in this thread. I followed it excactly like it said and step by step, so I cannot have done anything wrong.

What can be wrong?

EDIT: I also installed the Tibet civ mod and I do find the Tibet civ when clicking on Set Up Game. Does that mean I automaticly choose the Mod which is enabled? If so, then everything is ok.
