How do i start a religion.

I have the pantheon and i am now in the industrial age and i still don't have a religion. So how to i start one. Any ideas ?

That late in the game, you are probably out of luck. You need a Great Prophet to found a religion. At the top left of the screen, there are a row of buttons just above the words "World Tracker." Click the Great People button to open the Great People screen. Under the heading for Great Prophet, is that panel blank or does it provide a tally showing each civ's progress towards a Great Prophet? If it is blank, all Great Prophets are gone.

Another way to check is to open the Religions screen (same top left panel as the Great Persons screen). At the top left it says how many religions have been founded and how many can be founded on that map (e.g., it might say "All Religions 3/5" if 3 religions have been founded in a game that permits 5 religions).

Faith alone isn't enough. You need great prophet points...which you get by building a holy site district. But if you're that far into the game, chances are all religions are taken already, so check that first

 

[Myth and Legend]

I played approximately 2 hours last night (game launched at 2am here and I had work today). On Deity you have two options: get Stonehenge in a timely fashion or play as Arabia. Seriously on a standard map the 5 religions were created before I even got a pantheon with a non faith dedicated sciv (was playing China)
