How do I trade units?

Hi,

I would like to trade units, but I'm not sure how. I have Advanced Diplomacy enabled, so unit trading is on, but I don't see the option available.

Once you have an embassy established with a given nation, they will show up in the diplomacy screen with them. I don't recall the specific conditions for a unit to be traded or tradeable, though.

And how do I establish embassies?
