How to catch much capitive military units fast ?

What is the quickest way to catch captive military units quick also in the stone age and how to motivate the A.I. to build more cities so you can get more captive military units ? Is there a way that more criminals can spawn in your cities so you can get more captive military units without revolutions in your city ,because of a too high crime rate. Revolutions would be okay if the cities would not lose their productions especially research points.

You just have to wait until other civilization start creating more settlements, and then you just at some point "cull the heard". I usually go around either raiding, meaning I kill all units but one in their settlement so I don't conquer/destroy it, or depending on the "stage" of the game I just destroy their other settlements but the capital which save for later. There are some units which have better change to capture POW, like mounted units or rather cavalry but not elephants, and there are also promotions that give you better change to capture POWs. Of course some civics give bonus to capture too.

That's the trick. And attack each time they have built one unit. Same for barbarian cities and easy XP (for heroes).

Hero exclusive promotions should be sufficient to guarantee captures if the enemy does not have promotions to stop it.
