How do I use the BUG mod's "Full of Resources" map script?

I'm currently playing with the BUG mod. It comes with a map script called "Full of Resources." However, fudge me if the script is in any way intuitive.

Here are just a few questions I have about how this script works:

1. What is the difference between "force the appearance" and "equalize the appearance?"

2. How come, whenever I tell the game to place some resources in the player starting zone, those resources don't show up?

3. What does standard generation of resources do? And what does grouping the resources do?

4. What does "nonby chance selected resources" mean?

Can somebody provide me with a guide on how to use this script? Because it's confusing as all hell!
