How do Treasures work?

I downloaded the Conquest class GoTM26 and would like play, but I can't figure out what the Treasures are and how they work. The civilopedia entry I get for the Treasure unit is just a copy of the entry for Worker. Could someone please provide a description or a pointer to where this is documented?

Thanks

The Treasure chests are meant to be disbanded in a city for 10 shields each to help you build something quicker. However, you CAN use them to scout around a bit before you disband them--but don't let barbs catch them!

This is the first time I've ever gotten to use them since I've always played Open class, and this is the first time Open class has them--they're quite an interesting little addition.

Also note that you can't speed up building a wonder by doing this, and if you disband ANY unit in a city or chop a forest for it that you can't switch production TO a wonder in that city until something else is built first.

It was the first time I'd encountered it as I too play Open class each time.

I've only one observation about them though. Why does the icon when you look at it in a city have to be a settler?

It confused me once, thinking that I had missed an opportunity to have disbanded them and used them to push my boundaries further afield.

Is it not possible to have the chest as a 'chest' icon within a city view? I can only assume it has been seen before and a change has been attempted.
