How do you convert jpeg files to png files?

Just to answer your question and get it over with. I use Irfan View its free, small, and easy.

If you have XP, then you can convert it using MS Paint.

You open the jpeg in MS Paint and save it as PNG. (File -> Save as... In the file type dropdown list you select PNG.)
