How do you fight war on another island that takes forever to get advice needed

Sincec i gave up my jap game i started this Persian game. I was playing the world(huge) with 8 other nations on the one after regent. I started out in brazil now I own tsouth america and parts of Norht america. the russians and the bablyons are in north america. They are fighting right now, i don't care, they don't have anything i want. When i got tanks. i started to colonize africa. the americans got angry with me and he declared war on me. he dragged the Aztecs and the english into the war. I responded by dragging the Zulus and the chinese in. Neither of my allies are very strong. i changed my goverment to monachry and started to transport my troops in. by thn I have about 300 MIs and 160 MAs plus a ton nukes(40). Is the same thing again, the americans and their Paratroopers managed to catch a bunch of my cities. I lauched a ICBM in response of their submarines destorying a ton of my transports. the Chinese got wipped out by the americans. i only have 2 cities left. And neither of my transports are slose enough.I havve 10 MIs in my 2 cities. the americans sent over 100 MAs, should i nuke them and cause the zulus to declare war on me? ( I only have 20 stealth bombers in range of the enemies)
 
You're probably going to lose regardless, so go for it. What choice do you have? I would have been launching them like crazy a while ago, that way the Americans might not have been able to do as much damage as they did.
 
Make sure you stack your transports with AEGIS cruisers or other subs when going across the ocean. That'll alert you to the presence of enemy subs as well as protecting you transports.

I second Beanzy. Use those nukes early if you have to avoid future trouble.

What difficulty are you playing? If you lose more games than not, you probably should take the level down a notch to get some more practice. I mean, that's what I had to do for my first ten or so games.

How can you support such a massive army with just two cities? And how in the heck could afford those hundreds of units and the transports? Anyway you probably shouldnt be going after distant places if yourown territory is in danger.
 
Well, I have a bunch cities in South America, I am playing on emporer, I am not at Aegis Cruiser yet. I owned this game for one and half years.
 
Just curious, do you mean you have 2 TOTAL cities left, or 2 cities left in africa?
 
So as I gather it, you still maintain control of South America, but you've lost all but two cities in Africa. If that's the case, then I just say hold back on the nukes, there's no need to use them over a piddling two cities on another continent. Launching ICBMs would simply exacerbate the situation instead of aiding it, so I suggest you try to assess whether or not you can win another way. Maybe you have enough culture to aim for a cultural victory, or maybe you can build a spaceship before anyone else. If you really want to go the war monger route, build up your army again, load them on to transports PROTECTED by subs and other naval units, get them across the sea, and then declare war before the Americans can react.

Read the thread titled "Airports, The key to continental invasion?" As it suggests, rush build an airport, and airdrop tons of reinforcements.
 
When you have flight and you want to fight in far off lands, take an expedition force of Artillery and Infantry, plus naval protection for your transports/galleons. Find and take a weakly defended city or establish your own in the enemy territory, then rush build an Airport. While your fleet is sailing across to the enemy make sure your home cities are building airports. You can ferry one unit from each city with an airport instantly to any other city with an airport, once per turn.

Your best off clearing out a few cities around your city in the enemy lands, to push back their cultural borders and prevent a flip. After the Airport build Library and then Temple to push out your cultural borders to help slow down the inevitable enemy attacks. Use Artillery from inside the city to wound any enemy units coming withing 2 squares, the AI will instantly withdraw them unless their is an easy kill. This way you can usually keep off any enemy until you've air freighted in your army.
