How do you rebind the keys?

Hello All,

I'm trying to figure out how to rebind the keys. I want to change some of the camera control keys but I just can't find any option to do that.

I've got a sneaking feeling that you can't do it ... but come on ... could Fraxis really have overlooked something this important?

You can try to edit these two files:

Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\XML\Units\CIV4CommandInfos.xml
Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\XML\Units\CIV4ControlInfos.xml

just copy these two files to the _Civ4CustomAssets,
and edit the files there.

Man this really sucks...

I want to setup the camera controls to a more familar WASD camera movement!

I'm going crazy trying to use the arrow keys.

At least I'm learning more of the camera controls by viewing the XML files.

Didn't know you could use Ctrl-F + Arrow key to change isometic views.

Also change to a top-down view at max zoom.

But no way to change the camera movement keys?? What's up with that.


Anyone know how to change the left click mouse from "goto this point" to make any mouse movement move the camera (ala The Sims).

And what is Camera Mouse Move? (shift-f)

Checked those two files but there's nothing in there to set new keys for the standard unit movement buttons (UP, LEFT, etc). I have a Kinesis keyboard and the numpad is a pain in the a** to use.
