How does resources work on Strategic Balance?

Just wanted to know the differences with each type of resources options.

I believe it guarantees you (and every other player/AI) to have one of each strategic source within your borders.

It just guaranties that Iron & Horses will both be nearby all major players.

Abundant resources increases those hexes that have strategic resources by 50%.
(Instead of 2 Iron, you get 3. Instead of 4 Horses you get 6. etc.)

What about legendary Start? and standard?

strategic balance = horses, iron and oil are all within starting area. great for russia.

legendary start ensures a really strong starting location without adjusting the rest of the map, eg you'll generally have at least 3 luxuries and various other resources. great for occ.

Legendary does indeed give lots of resources, particularly luxaries, but you can end up with a bunch of duplicate ones instead of unique.
And on my current map on this start, there were no horses nor coal on my landmass.
