I have set up a survey on how eager you are on getting RoN :).

I don't really care about RoN. I'm pretty sure it'll just end up being a boring rts like empire earth or age of mythology. :o

Well, before I was quite eager for RoN, which is why I posted those two "updates" on RoN. Now my attentions shifted to my new gamecube, so Im not as eager as I once was. I do plan to get it someday though :)

RoN will be like a Civ/Age of empires combo, and the preveiws say its going to be awesome. I am extremely eager to get this game, this will be what I hoped Empire Earth would be.

Ive already played the tudorial, and am looking forward to be able to play though a regular match.

Hmm where did you get the Tutorial from? :). Was this from that Beta Contest ;).

Mildly interested in seeing what it's like. Will probably buy it, if only for MP purposes.

Cool, Very Cool :). You and your Friend must had a first hand experiance in RoN ;). Anyway, I cant wait for the game to be releaced. And I hope it comes with a Powerful Scenario editor :D.

Hmm, I have nevered played a RTS game and a TBS game at the same time :).

very eager but i can wait two more months (less now)

BHG has been saying that a Rise of Nations demo should be available about the same time the full game is released. As RoN is something of a curious critter, I'd recommend folks with doubts try the demo first.

RoN features a great many mutually independent game settings allowing players to customize their experience. It certainly can be set up to be a frantic click-fest. You can also slow the game down to a crawl. You can play without any fighting whatsoever (Tech Race - first one to the Information Age wins).

Based on my experience with the Preview Betas and observations of the major RoN fan forums, however, I have little doubt the game will disappoint people on the extremes of the TBS-RTS spectrum. Some power gamers with the Beta have been complaining about how the game is "newbified" because it reduces micromanagement and is more forgiving than the early Age games. TBS diehards, I suspect, are going to find fault with the streamlined diplomatic model (even if it's quite sophisticated for an RTS) and with the fact that the game IS essentially an RTS.

I've learned patcience all these years of playing videogames plus the Legend of Zelda is going to keep my occupied till then so I can wait
