How good is Conquests?

I want to buy Conquests but first I have 2 questions:

1. Do you need PTW to play it?
2. If no, are the PTW civs/units/etc. in the game?

2. There are some dinosaur units that you'd miss out on, which you can download from elsewhere, but everything else is included. C3C includes PTW.

The Dinos aren't important, but the WW2 units are required for many mods. But you can d/l them as well.

And, I for one think c3c is *REALLY* good, a huge improvement.

And once you get Conquests, be sure to patch up to 1.22

No, this was an intentional design decision (one of my favorites, in fact) and is still in. You can mod this out in about 30 seconds using the editor if you wish.

It was pretty good, kind of chewy though. I would recommend taking out the shiny filling, it hurts the teeth.

+ many other scenario units.
Many were included in PTW such as the ones used for the WWII Pacific conquest (zero, Japanese infantry), new ones such as A bomb; guards,voltigeurs, batteries, ship of the line (Napoleonic conquest),...

actually the easiest way to see them all (with pictures) is to check http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3units_ptw.shtml (PTW units that are either included or that you can download from Civ3 website or at CFC (check in my signature Civ3 stuff, extra-units) and http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3units_c3c.shtml (for Conquests specific units).

Meaning you don't need PTW as you mostly get all its new stuuf in Conquests or from the web) + all the new stuff from Conquests. Go for it !

And he asks if Civ3 Conquests is good! IT IS AMAZING! First of all, the conquests are amazing (i've only beaten 5)! Also, the Hittites are one of the best civs out there! The 3-man chariot can take down most Ancient units! The Conquests actually includes the PTW expansion! YOU MUST GET IT!
