Hello guys, I just want to share how I won cotm 55 on hardest mode on a Conquest victory. (On my third try)
1. Survive initial wars while getting techs (mainly barbarians, egypt, celts, india)
Meet civs early for trade and war-trade (DoW, peace-trade tech for gpt, DoW or Steal tech for him to DoW you) [free techs for reputation]
Dow, peace-trade for MA of winning AI (avoid too much monster AI)
No GL needed
SF
2. Survive war against the monster civ (egypt)
Don't let blockers get killed (put fortresses and greater fortress)
Make island yours without other AI
Get ToE and Hoover from prebuild
Settler on their area, rush rax, and walls, etc
Protect from bombers with anti-bombers
Put stack of defenders and artiliaries
Get Army
3. Survive constant nukes (egypt, india)
Make army scattered
Make workers scattered
Only connect resource to their favorite cities to nuke, don't work them anymore
4. Survive their Space Ship win and Culture win. (egypt india)
Get Nukes
Get their cities, sell buildings, abandon
Win conquest
