Bought the game last night, loaded it onto my laptop, and was pleasantly surprised by the framerate (30-40 fps, even with a busy screen).
However, I'm about 230 turns into a standard game (quick play, default settings), and every time I hit "Next Turn" it takes up to a minute to process everybody else's moves. I'm afraid this will only get worse as I progress into the game... Meaning, at a bare minimum, if I go all the way to 500 turns without winning I'll be looking at another 4 hours of just waiting.
(I should note, this is on a laptop with a Core I5, dual core, running at 2.9gHz, w/ 16gB of RAM)
What are your experiences with it? Do you spend more time waiting than playing?
