One of the things I liked reading the run-up to Civ 4 release was the game developers saying they concentrated on making the game take less time to play. But aft finishing my first game, it seems to take just as much time as always. My first game was a culture victory on a small map around 1980AD, took about 12 hours of play time. And that's with basically no military action, no combat unit management!

(Could of been fifteen but I wanted some wonders to to bump my score and took a few breaks to get chips or go to the bathroom.)
